In usual fashion, "D Money" kills the punchlines and some of the references allude that the track was recorded yesterday. He definitely should have laid off with the Trayvon line though. Terrible call.

I thought Childish Gambino was waiting until Valentine's Day to release the full video for "Heartbeat," but after premiering a mysterious trailer yesterday he just let the whole cat out of the bag early. I don't want to ruin the video with a synopsis, so I'll just show you my reaction while watching. O_O

Childish Gambino Performing "Bonfire" LIVE on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon

With Camp hitting stores in less than two weeks on November 15, Childish Gambino has been on a promotional roll.  After releasing a very original music video for the lead single "Bonfire," Childish Gambino took to Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to give a very dope performance along with a live band (not The Roots :-( ). Hopefully this impressive performance gained him more fans!

Thanks to one of my loyal readers, this gem fell in my lap.  Apparently Childish Gambino's been stashing some material on a different Tumblr site than usual.  In this site was the studio cut of "All The Shine" a song that gives us a pretty good feel for how the rest of his album Camp will sound like.  If that's true, and after playing out "Bonfire," then I can't wait!

Apparently, they were originally slated to interview Common but something came up and he ended up not performing. Instead, they found Donald Glover A.K.A. Childish Gambino and asked him all of their questions for Common. The result? Pure comedy.

I was first introduced to Childish Gambino when one of my Twitter followers said that my blog's name reminded her of him.  What I didn't know, until then, was that Childish Gambino and actor Donald Glover, star of the hit NBC show, Community, were the same person.

Before you automatically associate him with Nick Cannon, Drake and other actors turned rappers, let his music influence you first.  His lyricism is top notch, and the man's got BARS.  Watch below as he performs a brand new track that will be on his upcoming album Camp.
