Gangstas, it's been a while! Soooo, yours truly, DJ Hourglass, decided to put something special together for Gangstas Use Emoticons Radio, Vol. 12.  I present... Da Art of Storytelling (Part 1).  Hip Hop storytelling is an art form that few rappers have mastered, but when done right, the story can be so clever or shocking that you're stuck sitting, thinking about it.

Of course I included storytelling pros like Slick Rick, The Notorious B.I.G., Pac, Common and Nas, but there are some new names in the mix as well including J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T., and Kendrick Lamar. "Nasty" Nas and "He Loves His B*tches" Rick Ross have come together for "It's a Tower Heist," an upcoming film starring Eddie Murphy, Ben Stiller, and Jessica Alba.  I don't know if I'm more excited about the collab or the fact that soundtracks are becoming more popular again. Okay, who am I kidding--it's Nas and Rick Ross on one track!

New Music Video: CJ Hilton is "So Fresh"

I've been trying to put everyone on this song since April and it's finally got a video!!

Baltimore, MD raised singer CJ Hilton is the best of both worlds-- he has the voice of an old school soul singer and the appeal and perspective of a 21st century star.  Watch the video for "So Fresh" above, and check him out on the very first edition of GUE Radio.

[Music Video] Common x Nas-Ghetto Dreams

After a lot of teasers and behind the scenes videos, the official music video for "Ghetto Dreams" is here.  I love this song because it's Common and Nas their finest.  Reminds me of the hunger they had in their first albums.

Common's The Dreamer, The Believer should be out this fall. Up next, is going to be Nas's video for "Nasty," so be on the lookout.
