Mac Miller's had a few nice tracks, but I think he's made a fan out of me with "All The Time." I was expecting a verse of pineal gland proportions from Ab-Soul, but it was equally surprising and nostalgic to hear him channeling his best Andre 3000 on the bridge.
Ro Ransom is relatively new to me, but there's no doubt in my mind that the NY emcee's got more potential than most to really dominate. As he says on the title track to his new mixtape Ransomnia, "Y'all ain't seen s*it yet, I'm just starting to snap."
Download the mixtape below, which features Trae Tha Truth, 10ille, Casey Veggies, and Rich Hill, along with production from Chuck Inglish, AraabMuzik, Xaphoon Jones, and more.
I was just telling my brother that I wanted to have a Dilla Day and just listen to J Dilla while I study his musical legacy, and I think today may be the perfect moment. To celebrate all he's done for his hometown and for Hip Hop period, Detroit's finest come together on Dilla's newest album Rebirth Of Detroit.

To accompany Jack Threads's Asher Roth: Summer Essentials campaign, his new track "Space" is available for free download with any purchase. Take a listen to the track below, and check out the threads HERE.
If anyone can properly make use of a Chuck Inglish beat, it's ScHoolboy Q and TiRon. The two Cali emcees come together on "Love Me Not." No clue where this track will land but who cares? It's great music!
I was blogging Chuck Inglish's WRKOUTand thinking about all the projects he's worked on this year when I realized I'd never shared 10ille's Candy Jams EP with my Gangstas family. How selfish of me.
I blast Candy Jams every time I step foot in my car, and it's because of two things: 1, I love to hear singers who simply sing whatever the music makes them feel with little regard for what's trending. Secondly, the production, led by Chuck Inglish, is the exact same way. Check out the precursor to the Bronx bred singer's joint project with the Cool Kid below, and accept my apology for keeping this to myself for so long.
Chuck Inglish kicked the year of with WRKING.and now he's back with another set of instrumentals with WRKOUT. I've definitely found my theme music for the day in this beat tape, which includes twelve tracks which show off the versatility of the Cool Kid whose had quite the year so far. "Party Heart" is insane as well as "Agitated" and "Cold." Get with it.
Combine Mac Miller, Curren$y, and a Chuck Inglish beat, and apparently you get a smooth ass song. Check out their first collaboration "Cold," below, which is just a loosie for now. This is definitely some album quality material.
When Sir Michael Rocks recorded the Premier Politics, he chopped it down to sixteen tracks. To give the tracks that didn't make the original their shine, the Chicago emcee and illRoots present Premier Politics 1.5, which features production from Sunny Norway, Tye Hill, Cardo, Chuck Inglish and more.
The Cool Kids are doing their thing on the solo tip, but Sir Michael Rocks and Chuck Inglish are still dropping singles from their latest album When Fish Ride Bicycles. The colors and the art in this one is incredible.
Directed by Joey Garfield. Animated by Elliot Lim.
I still haven't stopped listening to Buddy's "Awesome Awesome" and now he's got another dope track to add to the collection. This go round, the Compton emcee brought in Cool Kids Chuck Inglish and Sir Michael Rocks to assist on production and vocals, respectively. Check out "Agitated" below, and be sure to hit up the comments with your thoughts!

I guess Sir Michael Rocks was feeling generous today because he dropped off a double dose of new music. Check out the Cardo-produced track "Imagine" below, and hit the jump to hear Mikey Rocks and his partner in rhyme, Chuck Inglish, take on a Monsta Beatz track on "Out The Jam!" It's #MixtapeMonday and Chip Tha Ripper is first out of the gate with his newest mixtape Tell Ya Friends. From the looks of the tracklist and production credits, this looks like he's giving us an album for free 99. Definitely check this new tape which features the likes of CyHi The Prynce, KiD CuDi, Wale, Ray Cash, Krayzie Bone and more!
Back in April 2011, Ma Dukes, the mother of the late, legendary producer J. Dilla, announced the Rebirth of Detroit project. The compilation will consist of Detroit emcees like Chuck Inglish and Boldy James collaborating over previously unreleased Dilla tracks to help unify a city that has become pretty fragmented since Dilla's passing.
Check out a recent studio session starring Chuck and Boldy below, and hit the jump to watch Ma Dukes' April announcement!
If you've ever doubted Chuck Inglish's work ethic, just take a look at the man's discography. He's been going hard as both a producer and an emcee for over five years with nonstop mixtapes, EPs, albums, and beats, and now he's kicking of 2012 with the dope beat tape WRKING. Check out the project below, and get ready for what Chuck's got in store this year!
2011's not over yet, so this new Asher Roth may still pop up on a few "Best of lists." After hearing tracks like "Common Knowledge" and "Choices," I'm pretty convinced that this will be on my top 10 list. With Blended Babies handling the bulk of the production and with features by Pac Div, Blu, Casey Veggies, Action Bronson, Phil Adé, Thurz, GLC, among others, this project will probably hold you over until the new year.
