SMH! T.I. In Prison Until September 29

Last week, I was shaking my head when rumors spread that T.I. had been returned to federal custody, and   now it has been confirmed that The Rubberband Man will be incarcerated at least until September 29th.  Why? Because he used his own personal bus as transportation to his halfway house.

Hit up Miss Info for the full story.  In the words of Russell Simmons, FREE T.I.!!

Nipsey Hussle - Rap Music [Music Video]

New music video from my favorite Eritrean rapper, Nipsey Hussle as he recounts the events that led the Slauson, Los Angeles emcee to change his life and turn to music to avoid the fate of so many others in his life. This 2009 song from the mixtape Bullets Ain't Got No Name, Vol. 3 receives brand new visuals and features June Summers.

If you're liking what Nipsey has to say, hit the jump to download his latest mixtape, Marathon.

Kevin McCall: The Eargazm Fixtape

Kevin McCall is one talented individual.  He has yet to release his debut album, and has already acquired Grammy nominations, written numerous hit records, and rapped a verse that people can't help but remember.  This versatile singer/rapper/songwriter/producer caught me when I heard is first mixtape Un-Invited Guest.  Let me just say that I had some great times to his music.

Before Kevin McCall, Tank was the only R&B singer I felt could consistently drop flawless "Serta"fied bedroom classics, and now I'm glad to add another artist to the list.  In July, Kevin McCall released The EargaZm, his follow up mixtape, and he is now back with a deluxe version of this acclaimed mixtape.

Download The EargaZm mixtape, which includes 3 new tracks here and be sure to check in for more information regarding his debut album.

Hit the jump for the tracklisting and to stream/download his first mixtape, Un-Invited Guest.

New Music Video: Young Jeezy - Rough feat. Freddie Gibbs

Young Jeezy has definitely been throwing music to the masses in preparation for the release of Thug Motivation: 103, and I'm still not sure if it's been completely worth it.  Regardless, the exposure is great for Young Jeezy's newest signee, Gary, Indiana rapper, Freddie Gibbs, whose popularity dwindled after the hype faded of being named one of XXL's Top 10 Freshman of 2010.

Watch their music video to "Rough" below, and hit the jump to stream or download Young Jeezy's The Real Is Back 2 mixtape.

Evidence - Where You Come From feat. Lil Fame, Rakaa & Termanology [Prod. By Alchemist]

More new music from Evidence's upcoming Cats & Dogs LP.  This Alchemist produced track features Ev's Dilated Peoples bandmate Rakaa, Lil' Fame of M.O.P. and Termanology.

Right now it's just a radio rip, but I'll update with the CDQ as soon as I find it.

Stream/download "Where You Come From" below:

NEW MUSIC: XV - BITSTU (Freestyle)

New music from Kansas spitter, XV.  Fresh off tour, he's back in the studio, hopefully to create some new heat for me to listen to. I'm feeling the track, which samples Drake's "Dreams Money Can Buy." Oh, and BITSTU = Back in the Studio.

Stream and download "BITSTU (Freestyle)" below:

Watch Curren$y, Trademark Da Skydiver & Young Roddy in The Studio

It seems like Curren$y lives and breathes in the studio because he is constantly putting out new mixtapes and albums.  That's one of the reasons I respect him, but he's also a dope lyricist.  His #JetLife crew is also nothing to be messed with.  Trademark Da Skydiver and Young Roddy are forces as well, and you can check them all out in the video above, as they let you into their recording session for "Music To Ride."

Hit the jump to stream or download "Jet Life To The Next Life," Trademark, Young Roddy & Curren$y's joint mixtape.

J. Cole: Any Given Sunday #5

Artwork by Alex Haldi

It's Sunday (barely) and J. Cole's blessed us with another installment of his Any Given Sunday series.  This time, we get new music that didn't make the album.

"Heavy" is a track that he produced and recorded while he was in L.A.

"Neverland" is produced by J. Cole and Surf Club member Chase N Cashe.

Both tracks are solid and I'm really anticipating Cole World: The Sideline Story, which drops on September 27. Make sure you go get it.

Also included on Any Given Sunday #5 is a performance of brand new song "God's Gift," which I posted earlier today.

New Music: Evidence - You [Prod. by DJ Premier]

Evidence has been a favorite of mine since I fell in love with The Weatherman LP in 2007, and to see that he's got a track with DJ Premier makes me wanna bust out a Megamind.

Stream "You" by Evidence below, and make sure to pre-order his new album Cats and Dogs, which drops on September 27th. Wow! Another September 27th release!

J. Cole Performs Brand New Track "God's Gift"

J. Cole kicked off his Cole World...World Tour on August 23rd, and he's been promoting heavily for his new album Cole World: The Sideline Story which hits physical and digital stores on September 27th.

Just in time for Any Given Sunday and thanks to HustleGrl, we've got exclusive footage from yesterday's show in Toronto.  Watch J. Cole perform the brand new track "God's Gift" above and listen for these bars.  He killed it.
