New Music Video: John West x Pusha T - Lovely

I was trying to vibe with the John West's "Lovely," but I'm not sure I'm there yet.  I think it's something about how he holds his mouth in the video when he sings.  Maybe I still haven't allowed more room in my heart for another White R&B singer with that first name. Or, it could be that the melody to the first verse sounds a lot like Eric Benet's "Gorgy Porgy" to me.

Anyways, watch the video to John West's "Lovely" featuring Pusha T below and let me know what you think about it.

Nuvo surely knows how to take over a music video. Kudos

September 27th Will Be A Momentous Day for Hip Hop

On September 29, 1998, both Outkast and Jay-Z dropped Aquemini and Vol. 2...Hard Knock Life, respectively.  Both albums did extremely well commercially and contain tracks that are recognized as some of hip hop's classics.
September 27, 2011 is shaping out to be a similar occasion, and will undoubtedly be a HUGE day for Hip Hop.  Some of today's brightest emcees who represent the future of the rap game are dropping albums and EPs left and right.  The competition will be on, so hit the jump to learn more about the releases from J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T., Pusha T, Phonte, 9th Wonder, Blu, Evidence & The Knux which will all hit the net and/or stores on September 27th.

Pusha T x Kanye West x Young Jeezy - Amen

More new music tonight. This one's a collab that everyone probably hoped would happen.  Kanye & Young Jeezy always put out hot tracks together and adding Pusha T isn't gonna do anything but improve upon that chemistry.

I only have one problem.  I'm starting to get a little fed up with a trend towards sacrilegious attitudes in hip hop music these days.  But that's me. I might make that a post soon.

Listen/DL Pusha T's Amen below and make sure to snag his Fear of God 2 EP which drops on August 23. Once again, shout out to 2dopeboyz.

Got Beef: Consequence vs. G.O.O.D. Music

Looks like Consequence is out for blood...  :O

Since his departure from G.O.O.D. Music, Consequence has been very vocal about the problems leading up to his dismissal from the label(Hit the jump for his MTV Rap Fix interview with Sway).  It seemed like Consequence was Kanye West's right hand man when Kanye was first rising to stardom.  However, as the G.O.O.D. Music roster got a little larger and Kanye became an icon in the industry, Consequence was seen less and less.  The reasons behind his lack of exposure are often speculated.

Consequence claims that he was used and mistreated by Kanye West and had to practically fight to be featured on tracks.  He was notably removed from XXL's G.O.O.D Music feature and wasn't present in the acclaimed G.O.O.D. music cypher from the 2010 BET Hip Hop Awards.
