I've been really appalled to hear some of today's most popular rappers mentioning Trayvon Martin's name in their songs for tasteless and unclever punchlines (Exhibit A, meet Exhibit B). Thankfully, we still have Hip Hop emcees like Yasiin Bey (Mos Def), Dead Prez & Mikeflo who release the severity of this tragedy in American history. Los could have easily been in Trayvon Martin's place right now, and he expresses that sentiment on the tribute track "Wit My Hoodie On." I still find it impossible that George Zimmerman is still a free man after killing Trayvon for nothing but seeing his skin and his clothing.
