Action Bronson & Party Supplies - Blue Chips [Free Album]

Action Bronson and Party Supplies joined forces with Reebok, Complex, DJ Booth, and Fool's Gold to present their new album Blue Chips free of charge. This is a project I've been excited to hear since news of the collab broke, and I hope I'll be able to get some work done with this on rotation. All of the seventeen tracks were created in a free environment and came together in an improvisational way. Party Supplies handles all of the production on the tape while Action handles the bars with a little help from friends Roc Marciano, Meyhem Lauren, and Das Racist.

Fresh Daily - The Brooklyn Good Guy [Free Album]

So glad I woke up listening to Fresh Daily's The Brooklyn Good Guy this morning because this is some good ish. The free album, presented by Footaction and Converse, features Fresh rhyming over top notch production that provides an original sonic environment that places him on a completely different playing field from your average rapper. Happy to see that two of my favorite St. Louis rappers, Black Spade and Rockwell Knuckles, made their mark on the album as well!

Teyana Taylor - The Misunderstanding Of Teyana Taylor [New Mixtape]

Teyana Taylor has found herself all over the Internet for so many things other than her music, but she's here to put the focus back on what she's all about--expressing herself musically and doing a damn good job at it.  The Misunderstanding Of Teyana Taylor, a clear allusion to Lauryn Hill's Miseducation masterpiece, contains an album's worth of free material to clear up any doubt that she may not have what it takes.  Featured on the project are Wale, Fabolous, Jadakiss, Honey Cocaine, and Travis Porter plus production from Hitboy, DJ Mustard and more!

Bleach Stain - Hard Times

St. Louis emcee Bleach Stain hit me with "Hard Times," the lead single from The Incomporable Mind Of Mr. Stain, his followup to 2010's The Demented Mind Of Mr. Stain. I'm loving his production on this one and I'll let his own words serve as his proper G.U.E. introduction:
For the past few months I've been at an odd place with music...more emotion than I ever intended to surface made their way onto this new tape. "Hard Times" was written right after a break up I went through and the drama that followed. "Hardtimes" has always been a phrase we use to describe a catch 22 situation. "If there is nothing you can do, you have to move on." Lyrically, this is only the tip of the iceberg. Consider "Hard Times" the Memento to my Inception.  - Bleach Stain a.k.a. BeunTe

Big K.R.I.T. Brings "Boobie Miles" To 106 & Park [Video]

Big K.R.I.T. stopped by 106 & Park on Friday to premiere his video for "Boobie Miles." Terrence asked him which rappers and producers he would like to form a supergroup and he chose Big Sant, Yelawolf, Bun B, 9th Wonder, and DJ Toomp. That's Southern Hip Hop gold right there. Watch below as he talks about his upcoming tour with J. Cole and explains why Va$htie is her go to woman for music videos!
