Maybach Music Group Press Conference [Live Stream]

Update: The live stream has ended, but check out the reel played during the event. MMG is doing the absolute most, but hey. It's working.

Rick Ross doesn't plan to end his domination anytime soon. So far he, Swizz Beatz, and Diddy have spoken. Big announcement set to come soon!

Wale ft. French Montana, Diddy & Mase - Slight Work (Remix)

I saw tweets from MMG this morning that we would never be able to guess who was featured on Wale 's "Slight Work" remix, and they were definitely right. Diddy's former dancing partner in rhyme, Ma$e came out of retirement (IRS is on him!) came out and gave us a soft spoken verse after French Montana and Diddy dropped theirs. What's the future hold for Mase? Hmmmmm...

Update: Splash let loose the CDQ version of the track.

Clearly Wale wrote Diddy's verse; he could barely get the words out.

2012 XXL Freshman Mixtape (Hosted By DJ Whoo Kid, Diddy & T.I.)

XXL continues to give its Freshman 2012 some shine with its official mixtape hosted by DJ Whoo Kid.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sensing a little favoritism here. Danny Brown only gets songs he's featured on and some artists only get one song. Meanwhile, French Montana is all over this thing.

Download after the jump.

French Montana - Shot Caller (Remix) ft. Diddy, Rick Ross & Charlie Rock [Music Video]

I'm definitely not a fan of French Montana, but "Shot Caller" featuring Diddy and Rick Ross is the hottest song out right now.  I give all the credit to Harry Fraud and the old school Bad Boy flips. Check out the video below, which French premiered on 106 & Park last night.

Los Signs To Bad Boy Records [VIDEO]

FINALLY someone took notice of Los's skills and gave that man a record deal!

During the "Shot Caller" video shoot, Sway stopped through and got the exclusive announcement from Diddy that the Baltimore emcee has joined the ranks of the Bad Boy revolution, which boasts a roster including Red Cafe, French Montana, Machine Gun Kelly, and Cassie.  Let's see how things shape up!

UPDATE: Feb. 8, 2:24 PM

French Montana ft. Black Rob, Diddy & Rick Ross - Shot Caller x Whoa (A DJ Hourglass Remix)

So I've been learning to DJ for about 6 months now, and I finally made a mashup that I can post in confidence.  "Shot Caller" is easily one of the hottest songs out, and it's probably because it brings the old school Bad Boy feel back.  To really give it that "Take That, Take That" circa 1999 touch, check out what I did!

Feedback is appreciated!

Rick Ross - Rich Forever [New Mixtape]

When Rick Ross revealed the track listing to this mixtape, he surprised everyone.  Most people, myself included, thought the mixtape would just be Rick Ross rhyming over hit songs like the remixes he'd been releasing for the past few weeks.  WRONG.

The line up on Rich Forever is RIDICULOUS. All brand new tracks featuring everyone from John Legend and Nas to French Montana and Styles P. The wait is finally over, so look below to stream/download Rozay's prelude to God Forgives, I Don't!

Diddy Addresses The "Dark Cloud" Hanging Over Bad Boy & Talks Rick Ross - Biggie Comparisons [VIDEO]

Take that. Take that.
Diddy's probably one of the most successful executives that music has ever seen.  With success comes reputation, however, and Diddy is finally addressing the so-called Bad Boy curse.  Listen below as he talks with DJ Whoo Kid on his radio show and addresses the "dark cloud" that seems to hang over his label.

“You know over the last couple of years there's been a strong propaganda movement, umm, that has been brewing, like, in the negative sense, against Bad Boy. Against what it is to sign to the Bad Boy label. Is it a detriment to your career?”
