XXL Reveals Its 2013 Freshman Class

Last year was definitely a controversial one when it came to XXL's selection for its Freshman Class, but it's safe to say that 2013 has some solid picks. Although I feel a few of these names deserved top billing in previous years, peep the 10 11 rappers who made the cut this year.

2012 XXL Freshman Mixtape (Hosted By DJ Whoo Kid, Diddy & T.I.)

XXL continues to give its Freshman 2012 some shine with its official mixtape hosted by DJ Whoo Kid.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sensing a little favoritism here. Danny Brown only gets songs he's featured on and some artists only get one song. Meanwhile, French Montana is all over this thing.

XXL Magazine Reveals Its 2012 Freshman Class

I had a very long debate with Mr. Write of PenStation about who I feel should make it in XXL's 2012 Freshman Class and who I think they'll select.  I was pretty dead on with who I thought would make the list except for a few artists. However, I am surprised that ScHoolboy Q, Stalley, or A$AP Rocky (he declined) didn't make the cut. Artists like Roscoe Dash should have made this list years ago, and I don't know enough about Macklemore and Hopsin to discount them.
