Zip Kennedy - Stamp My Name [New Mixtape]

I've been happy that I've heard Zip Kennedy since the day his tape was placed in my inbox. He's clearly got the potential to really make his mark in the industry, hence the title of his new mixtape Stamp My Name. I already blast "One Up" in my car on a regular and Stamp My Name has plenty more where that came from. Along with the party anthems, Zip's definitely got tracks like the intro "Make Room" where he's making a strong statement. Download after the jump!

Eve Talks New Album, Iggy Azalea, Azealia Banks & More With The Women Of Hip Hop

In an exclusive interview with the Ruff Ryder's first lady Eve, TheWomenOfHipHop.com talked with the veteran emcee about her future in music and her thoughts on the industry's newest female rappers.

Eve on her forthcoming album Lip Lock:
“I’m gonna throw out a viral single at the end of this month before the official single... I’m probably gonna throw out a couple records before the radio single, but I think my whole goal for this record, since it’s been so long, I wanted to make sure that my core audience didn’t feel like Eve completely forgot about us and went over to another side... I feel like this record is well rounded. It has enough of the hard street stuff, it has some radio stuff, but it also has some stuff that people can listen to when they’re feeling down.”
Her thoughts on Iggy Azalea & Azealia Banks:
“I like Azealia Banks. I think her style is dope. If you listen to her lyrics, she knows how to wordplay and I think that’s cute. I’m not really into the Iggy Azalea chick. I can’t really fuck with her music, but her look is crazy. I just can’t believe it.”
Which five female emcees would she collaborate with on a track?
I would definitely have to get Missy [Elliott]. I would definitely have to do Kim ’cause I never got to do a record with Kim. Azealia Banks, I like her. A lot of people want me to hate on Nicki and say crazy things about her. I ain’t got nothing to say about her. Until somebody names me by name, then I don’t feel like nobody [is talking] about me. I wouldn’t have a problem putting her on a record.”
On Lil Kim & Nicki Minaj's ongoing beef:
“It’s not about publicity. It’s about wanting that respect. I think maybe that’s where Kim is coming from, like, you’re doing your thing right now and no one can take that away from you, Nicki—we all see it—but at the end of the day, if it wasn’t for Kim, she wouldn’t be here and that shit is real.”

Frank Ocean - PDA (Public Display Of Affection)

I'm convinced this new track from Frank Ocean is a track like those on his Lonny Breaux Collection--OLD. Because the lyrics and sound definitely aren't of the caliber of Nostalgia/Ultra and some of his new material. Posting it nevertheless.

Kendrick Lamar Performs "The Recipe" For The First Time At Paid Dues [VIDEO]

While STS was the first to take my heart with "WWW (Women, Weed & What To Wear)," I still love Kendrick Lamar's "The Recipe." Clearly the crowd at last night's Paid Dues Festival did as well when he performed the Dr. Dre featured, Scoop DeVille produced single.
