Rickie Jacobs - "Medusa's Soundtrack" (Prod. by YOG$)

Rickie Jacobs continues his reckless onslaught of new releases as he explores a darker, chopped up element of his sound on "Medusa's Soundtrack."

[New Mix] DJ Hourglass - Think Outside The Clock, Vol. 1

My last mix The Pregame got a great response, so I didn't want to leave the G's waiting forever for the next!

What started as an experimental practice mix of some of my favorite remixes turned into the first volume of Think Outside The Clock, a different take on a few classic and some hit records. Stevie Wonder and Tyga may not seem to be a likely pairing, but trust me. Take a ride through the decades and genres as I deliver a quick half hour mix that's sure to have you moving.

Hit me with comments on TwitterSoundcloud or Facebook! Thanks for the love... d(^_^)b

[New Mixtape] Rockie Fresh - 'The Birthday Tape'

J. Cole - "Cole Summer"

J. Cole freebie to kick off the week? Yes please.

Although his sophomore album isn't set to hit stores until June 25, Cole was generous enough to let loose the "Nothing Even Matters" sampled vent "Cole Summer" last night. Listen below as the Roc Nation golden child follows in the footsteps of the boss as he pens a letter to the upcoming season he's bound to dominate.

[New Mixtape] STACE - 'Caesar'

STACE has impressed the G's so far with his singles "It's Getting Harder To Cheat" and "I'm Chillin," and now he's bound to gain even more fans with the release of his new mixtape, Caesar. The Mt. Vernon, NY bred emcee infuses jazz, R&B, and hip hop to create a formula all his own.

Beyoncé & Andre 3000 - "Back To Black" (Amy Winehouse Cover)

A snippet of Beyoncé and Andre 3000's cover of the late Amy Winehouse's "Back To Black," surfaced about a week ago, and many people took offense to Bey and 3 Stacks touching the recent classic.

Stream the entire track in full below, which premiered on East Village Radio, and make your own decision. Do the "Party" collaborators do the the talented Amy Winehouse justice?

The Great Gatsby original soundtrack is set to hit stores on May 7. The film premieres in theaters on May 10.

[Music Video] Chance The Rapper ft. Ab-Soul - "Smoke Again"

As heard on his project 10 DayChance The Rapper is an emcee that we really need to blow right now. His creativity is out of this world, and it's only right that he link up with another unorthodox mind like Ab-Soul.

Watch Chance cook his heart out in the official video to "Smoke Again," and get ready for Chance's Acid Rap mixtape to hit the net TOMORROW, April 30.

B.o.B may have taken lyric videos to a whole 'nother level today. To premiere his new DJ Mustard produced single "Headband" featuring fellow ATLien 2 Chainz in full, Bobby Ray provides a challenge of sorts. Focus on the lyrics or focus on the jiggle. Which one will you choose?

Ab-Soul ft. Mac Miller - "The End Is Near"

Ab-Soul and Mac Miller seem to get each other musically, and thankfully for us they continue to release records together.  All eyes are on Soul since his crowning as one of XXL's 2013 Freshman, and on his latest track "The End Is Near" he spits more than a few bars you might have to rewind to fully grasp. The track, produced by Mac Miller under the Pittsburgh emcee's alias Larry Fisherman, is a simplistic yet dark beat that's perfect for Ab-Soul and Mac to focus strictly on the lyrics.

Hit the jump to peep Ab-Soul's individual freestyle for XXL. Definitely representing TDE well!

Rickie Jacobs - "The Devil Wears Prada/God Wears Gucci"

GUE's favorite Baltimore emcee Rickie Jacobs has been relentless lately, as he drops his second The Jake produced loosie of the week. Premiered by Sermon's Domain, the homie Sermon described the dual track perfectly:
"In Star Wars Episode II-III, Anakin Skywalker was at a constant battle with himself before ultimately turning to the dark side. If that could translate to rap, Rickie Jacobs’ “The Devil Wears Prada/God Wears Gucci” would be his episode II. This two sided record finds him struggling with his career (in a story fashion, not necessarily meant to take away as personal in his life) and his surrounding. The force is strong within this one."

[Music Video] Alicia Keys ft. Maxwell - "Fire We Make"

I may hate the album's title track, but Alicia Keys' Girl On Fire has some pretty nice deep cuts. One of them, Maxwell duet "Fire We Make," has emerged as a single, and the R&B crooner makes a rare appearance as he joins Alicia in the visuals.

[Music Video] Ciara - "Body Party" (Starring Future)

It looks like the momentum is finally back in Ciara's favor as she shut TVs and the net down yesterday with the 106 & Park premiere of her new single "Body Party." In the Mr. X shot video, Ci takes us to a classic house party filled with cameos from some of the A's hottest (Ludacris, Trinidad Jame$, Mike WiLL, and Jazze Pha just to name a few) as she and her real-life beau see into the future of their relationship.

Of course the dance scenes are amazing, and the chemistry between Ciara and Future is clearly not being faked in this video. Soundtracks have fallen off over the years, but the musical counterpart to the upcoming film The Great Gatsby has a lot of mouths watering. Thanks in part to contributions from Jay-Z and Lana Del Rey, the most anticipated record on the soundtrack is undoubtedly Beyoncé and Andre 3000's cover of the Amy Winehouse classic "Back To Black."

[Music Video] CharlieRED - "Could Be"

Rocki Evans and Cobaine Ivory have been unstoppable together as CharlieRED, and their Religion EP is a project that you should have in constant rotation if you don't already.

The lucky track from Religion to get the visual treatment this time around is one of the record's sexier cuts "Could Be." While the song itself is extremely moving, the video only amplifies the essence of the song which dwells upon the possibilities of a new relationship.

[New Mixtape] Cassie - #RockaByeBaby

Cassie may not have the best vocal range, but I'll tell you what she does have. A good a** team of writers and producers around her.

After being relatively quiet since her Bad Boy debut in 2006, she presents her new tape RockAByeBaby, which features guest appearances by Wiz Khalifa, Jeremih, French Montana, Fabolous, Pusha T, Ester Dean and more. What's more impressive are the multiple writing credits from Cocaine 80s frontman James Fauntleroy, Jeremih as well as the production from TDE's Sounwave and Cali saxophonist Terrace Martin. Hate if you want, but I'll give this a d(^_^)b guarantee.

Ray J ft. Bobby Brackins - "I Hit It First"

What's a Saturday without good laughs and f*ckery?

Ray J completely dominated Twitter on Friday when he revealed the cover for his new single "I Hit It First," donning a pixelated image of his ex Kim Kardashian. Messy!

While the single artwork is foolish enough, the accompanying track is ten times worse. Despite the fact that the beat sounds like a 2002 album bonus track from 3LW, the real focal point lies in the single's lyrics.

Gems like the hook's opening line "She might move on the rappers and ballplayers..,"the bridge's "If you were to come back to me we'll make another movie," and the repetitive crooning of "I put her on" in R. Kelly "Feelin' On Yo Booty" fashion to close out the record, are what makes life worth fighting another day.
