Jackie Chain, Scotty & RaRa - "Pimpin Mane" (Prod. by Kato of SMKA)

SMKA, a brain trust in Atlanta known for bringing some of today's budding musicians together for dope collaborative projects, has outdone itself as they held The Hang Out:
Atlanta production collective, SMKA, blocked out 882 Studios for 4 days, and invited many of Atlanta’s most talented and progressive hip-hop artists to hang out, eat, drink, collaborate and make music. The Hang Out took place from February 7 - 10, and for 14 hours a day, 4 days straight, Justin Padron, of 882 Studios, recorded artists over SMKA production.
The Hang Out compilation features more than 50 different artists on 20 original records produced entirely by 808 Blake and Kato of SMKA. The Hang Out showcases the depth of talent, and diversity, that makes Atlanta’s hip-hop community the most creative and influential in the world.
Check out the project's first leak, "Pimpin Mane," below featuring Alabama's Jackie Chain and ATL rappers Scotty and RaRa over a Kato production.

Part 1 of The Hang Out is set to drop March 26th and if you're in the A in March 23rd, be sure to hit The Star Bar for The Hang Out Release Party.

[Music Video] Fantasia - "Lose To Win"

After quite the hiatus, Fantasia is back in the game almost ready to releaser her forthcoming album Side Effects Of You. The project's lead single "Lose To Win" showcases the Idol winner explaining her need to leave an unhealthy relationship in order to get her life right so she's ready when the right person comes around.

"Lose To Win" is definitely a relatable single, and the 80's tinged production and vintage themed visuals show that Fantasia's back and ready to take her place as one of R&B's top musicians once again.

Kanye West Responds To Being #7 On MTV's Hottest MC's List

After years of controversy surrounding the choices for MTV's Hottest MCs list, it's no surprise that this year is no different.

With the lineup currently listing Meek Mill as #10, Future as #9, A$AP Rocky as #8, Big Sean at #6, and Drake at #5, people and rappers alike have already taken to Twitter and interviews to air their opinions on the rankings.

None were more vocal than Kanye West, however who uncharacteristically called into Angie Martinez's Hot 97 to speak with DJ Enuff about being listed as #7.

Listen below as Kanye lists of reasons why he should be a top contender, states Lil Wayne is his #1 emcee, calls out Sway for a lack of loyalty, only to hang up the phone on DJ Enuff in typical "drop the mic" fashion:

Hit the jump to catch Weezy and Sway's response to Ye's rant:

Does Kanye have a right to be angry over the list? Hit the comments and tell me what you think.
