Jay-Z & Kanye West To Stream Watch The Throne Tour

I'm not a businessman, I'm a business, man!
It appears that The Throne has partnered with advertising agency GlobalHue and launched VOYR.com in order to promote their upcoming tour with exclusive behind the scenes footage and to give those who were unable to buy tickets a chance to view the entire tour via a $4.99 monthly subscription.  I'll let Complex handle the rest:

The subscription-based webcast will cover the entire 26-city tour with a 720-degree look of the stage, rehearsals, personal exercise routines, an exclusive Kanye documentary, and an animated series based on Kanye's "Runaway" film. The subscription will cost $4.99/month for all-inclusive access.

Gangstas Use Emoticons Radio, Vol. 12: Da Art Of Storytelling

Gangstas, it's been a while! Soooo, yours truly, DJ Hourglass, decided to put something special together for Gangstas Use Emoticons Radio, Vol. 12.  I present... Da Art of Storytelling (Part 1).  Hip Hop storytelling is an art form that few rappers have mastered, but when done right, the story can be so clever or shocking that you're stuck sitting, thinking about it.

Of course I included storytelling pros like Slick Rick, The Notorious B.I.G., Pac, Common and Nas, but there are some new names in the mix as well including J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T., and Kendrick Lamar. Check out Gangstas Use Emoticons Radio, Vol. 12: Da Art of Storytelling below and hit the jump for a full tracklisting!

New Music: T.I. - Niggas In Paris Remix

After 2,394,323,434 "Niggas In Paris" remixes, T.I. uses some French and makes a verse that fits in completely with Jay-Z and Ye's offerings.  It's a party song, no need to make it so deep!  Check it out below and sip on something while you're at it.

If you haven't heard an S1 produced track, think again.  The hit producer made his way up in the game from producing for Little Brother and other associated acts to producing chart toppers for Kanye West & Beyonce.  Most recently, Symbolic One produced the "Excellence" portion to Jay-Z & Kanye's Watch the Throne track "Murder To Excellence.  Watch below as he explains the journey behind the incredible song.

Want To Hear A New Spin on Watch The Throne?

Like Dance music? Like Watch The Throne? Curious? Just check out Mark The Throne, a Electronic, dubstep remix of Jay-Z & Kanye West's hit album Watch The Throne.  This dope mix was created by the duo Market Price which consists of DJ GOJ!RA and producer Valentino.  What's most impressive is that this was created without acapellas or stems.

The Making of Kanye West & Rhymefest's "Alligator Boots"

Back in 2008, Kanye West and Rhymefest were working hard on a pilot for their show Alligator Boots, which they were hoping to have aired on Comedy Central.  As you've probably figured out, the show never saw the light of day.  Look below for some behind the scene footage of the show that surfaced featuring Kanye West, Rhymefest, Kim Kardashian, and some weavalicious, pimping puppets.

Jay-Z & Kanye West x Frank Ocean - No Church In the Wild [Fan Made Video]

Sorry, this isn't an official music video of "No Church In The Wild" like I thought it was, but it surely is a beautiful work of art.  In a parallel universe of sorts, the video takes place in 1862 where White slaves were oppressed and beaten by Black slaveowners. Wow.

Check it out and let me know what you think!

Jay-Z & Kanye West Perform Otis For the First Time

Jay-Z & Kanye West just kinda surprised the MTV Video Music Awards and hit the stage for their first performance of "Otis."  I'm loving it, and I'm hoping to get to this concert.  Watch closely and watch someone run on the stage.  My suspects: Lil Wayne, Baby, or Lil Mama.

Gangstas Use Emoticons Radio: Volume 6

DJ Bankhead has officially retired. It was fun while it lasted, but I'm serious this time.

The official, REAL DEAL stage name is............ DJ Hourglass!
(If you wanna know why, ask somebody)

I've been doing tribute editions for the past 2 weeks and it's time to get back to that new s**t!  This mix is probably the most well rounded--ranging from mainstream to underground, club bangers to love songs.  Volume 6 features new music from artists including the Billboard toppers of The Throne, Big K.R.I.T., Meek Mill, and Wale.

Also in the mix are two rappers from the 2 cities nearest to my heart--Charlotte and St. Louis.  QC representer  C-Weav is the founder of record label So Key Entertainment whose mixtape Mixed Feelings is a must download.  Bryant Stewart, the hardest working rapper in St. Louis, just released "I Made This Last Week," a project which he made...in one week.  Doesn't sound like it.

Listen to DJ Hourglass's GUE Radio, Vol. 6 below!

Pusha T x Kanye West x Young Jeezy - Amen

More new music tonight. This one's a collab that everyone probably hoped would happen.  Kanye & Young Jeezy always put out hot tracks together and adding Pusha T isn't gonna do anything but improve upon that chemistry.

I only have one problem.  I'm starting to get a little fed up with a trend towards sacrilegious attitudes in hip hop music these days.  But that's me. I might make that a post soon.

Listen/DL Pusha T's Amen below and make sure to snag his Fear of God 2 EP which drops on August 23. Once again, shout out to 2dopeboyz.
